Every advantage has a disadvantage

June is almost here! That is when we are launching a new and improved Gastronomixs website. We are going to ensure that it will be even more user-friendly than before. The majority of changes will be to your direct advantage. However, we cannot prevent that one or more functions will no longer be available. We will continue to work with you to ensure as smooth a transition as possible. 

Our focus for improvements primarily lies in the most frequently used parts of the site. This means that some lesser used parts on the site will be removed. They are ‘My components’ and 'Compositions'. Keep reading to find out what you can do to save your recipes before they disappear from the site.

My components

Recipes that you have compiled yourself under My components will be removed. This means that they will also disappear from the compositions that you have compiled with them. Do you want to save your recipes? If so, then print them out before June 1st, or save them as a PDF-file on your computer. Printing or saving as a PDF can only be done with a paid account, and can be done as follows:

We hope to return the option of uploading your own components next year, and the recipes that you had already saved there, will once again be accessible.

Compositions and favourite compositions

We are also discontinuing the use of Compositions. The focus will lie completely on the thousands of components, which you as a chef can use to make your own dishes. Do you have any Favourite compositions that you enjoy using for inspiration, then print them out or save them as a PDF. Saving them can be done in the same way as explained above. 

Please note! Your own compositions (different components combined together) will remain accessible. They will return as so-called 'collections'.

We will make you a promise!

Over the past number of years, we have strongly focused on quality improvements and all recipes will be improved or adapted where necessary. We will continue to test new recipes thoroughly, allowing you to focus on your organisation and creativity. And we promise you, we are going to enrich Gastronomixs over the coming years with recipes from the most inspirational chefs. We enjoy working with you when it comes to challenges such as allergens. We're going to inspire you with unusual flavour combinations and the seasonal calendar will become more extensive and relevant. We are doing everything we can to make your job easier and, especially, more enjoyable. Promised!
