Dried tomato
Sun-dried tomatoes are very popular but the best quality ones are often expensive. You can easily make them yourself in a food dehydrator and also decide for yourself how dried you want them.

Ingredients
- 1 kg tomatoes
- 100 ml olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 sprigs rosemary
- 10 sprigs thyme
- as needed salt and pepper
Preparation method
- Rinse the tomatoes and cut into quarters.
- Finely chop the garlic, thyme, and rosemary and mix this with the olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Then mix this in a bowl with the tomato wedges.
- Leave the mixture to marinate for one hour before placing the tomatoes in the food dehydrator.
- Dry the tomatoes at 60°C for four to twelve hours until you have achieved the desired result.
Serving suggestions
- Very delicious in a salad with mozzarella or burrata and basil.
- As a component in a composition with white beans and octopus.
- As part of a selection of tapas or antipasti.
