filo pastry

liquid butter

As needed:


crispy fried bacon bits, razor thin

As needed:


black pepper and chilli pepper

Preparation method

  • Cut the filo pastry into 10x15cm slices and brush immediately with the liquid butter.
  • Sprinkle with the pepper varieties and the bacon bits and roll up.
  • Bake in an oven at 200°C until golden brown.

Serving suggestions

  • As a crispy garnish with a mustard, mushroom, or mussel soup.
  • As part of a starter or salad, e.g. with lamb’s ham and marinated artichoke.
  • As an amuse-bouche or cocktail snack.
