Preparation method

  • Boil the meat in water for fifteen minutes and then mince in the mincer.
  • Heat the butter in a pan and fry the onion and garlic.
  • Add the turmeric, cumin, and clove and briefly fry together.
  • Mix the other ingredients, except for the lime leaves, with the meat and season the mixture.
  • Transfer the mixture to a buttered oven dish.
  • Roll up the lime leaves and insert them in the mixture.
  • Cover the dish and bake in an oven at 190°C for 60 minutes.
  • Combine the 100ml. milk with the two eggs.
  • Pour this over the mixture in the oven dish.
  • Return the dish to the oven for fifteen more minutes.

Serving suggestions

  • As a main dish on its own, served with rice and blatjang.
