Preparation method

  • Wash and dry the chard.
  • Remove the stalks and chop into pieces approximately 1cm in size.
  • Coarsely chop the leaves of the chard.
  • Chop the garlic and fry in the olive oil until soft, ensuring that it doesn't brown.
  • Add the chopped chard stalks and braise until cooked but still firm.
  • Lastly, add the chopped leaves and fry briefly.
  • Season to taste with the lemon zest and juice and salt and pepper.

Serving suggestions

  • Delicious as a basis for a vegetarian dish with tomato, rice, and ricotta.
  • As a component in a composition with potato and chicken.
  • As a component in a composition with pasta, chilli, and bacon.
