white bread

clarified butter, olive oil or garlic oil




Preparation method

  • Place the required number of slices of white bread on a large chopping board.
  • Cut out a large circle with a large cutter and use the smaller cutters to create smaller holes.
  • Fry just before serving in clarified butter, olive oil or garlic oil.
  • Drain well on kitchen paper and sprinkle with salt.
  • Serve warm.

Serving suggestions

  • As a 'lid' to cover a bowl of soup.
  • As a garnish for an amuse-bouche or salad.
