Preparation method

  • Half the figs and allow them to caramelise together with some sugar and bay leaves.
  • Place the caramelised figs in small baking tins and cover with a sheet of puff pastry that has been cut to size.
  • Bake in an oven at 200°C for 20 minutes.

Serving suggestions

  • As a component in a main course with game or poultry.
  • As a basis for a cheese dish, e.g. with blue cheese.
  • As a basis for a dessert with vanilla ice cream or mascarpone.
