Ingredients

ginger, fresh

spring onion

salt

peanut oil

Preparation method

  • Peel and finely slice the ginger.
  • Clean the spring onion and also cut this into thin slices.
  • Add the ginger and spring onion to a tall steel measuring cup.
  • Heat the oil until it starts to smoke and pour over the ginger and the spring onion. Be careful as the oil can splash!
  • Add the salt and cool.

Serving suggestions

  • As a flavour enhancer for poultry.
  • As a dip for steamed or roasted poultry.
