Preparation method

  • Cut the aubergines lengthwise in slices approx. 2mm thick.
  • Sprinkle with salt and charcoal oil and cover with cling film.
  • Place a light weight on top and leave to marinate for about an hour.
  • Heat up a grill pan and briefly grill the aubergine slices.
  • Allow to cool and tightly wrap around the stuffing of your choice.

Serving suggestions

  • As a "roll-in" to stuff crab salad, tuna salad, ham salad, egg cream or goat's cheese, for example.
  • As a "roll-in" to wrap around other vegetables.
