Preparation method

  • Set the temperature of the barbecue to 220°C.
  • Halve the avocado by cutting lengthwise around the pit. Remove the pit.
  • Rub the avocado with the garlic clove.
  • Sprinkle with lemon oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Set aside for 15 minutes to allow the flavours to combine.
  • Grill the avocado on the barbecue.
  • Let the avocado partially cool before cutting into cubes.
  • Season with the Chardonnay vinegar and lemon oil.
  • Add additional salt and pepper to taste.

Serving suggestions

  • Can also be used as a basic ingredient for guacamole, this also cooks the guacamole, making it very spreadable on a crostini.
  • Delicious in combination with lobster, crab, and other types of shellfish.
  • Serve as part of various barbecue preparations, e.g. pulled pork or jackfruit.
