thyme, chopped

Preparation method

  • Cut the chicken breasts with the skin on from the carcass, leaving the legs attached.
  • Remove the thigh bone.
  • Finely chop the garlic and mix with the thyme, salt and black pepper.
  • Rub this mixture into the chicken and sprinkle with olive oil and lemon juice.
  • Set aside to marinate for a few hours.
  • Roast on the barbecue with the lid shut at a temperature of approx. 200°C. This gives the chicken a lovely charcoal flavour.
  • Turn once.
  • Sprinkle the chicken with lemon juice and chopped flat-leaf parsley.

Serving suggestions

  • As part of a main course, e.g. with grilled vegetables and potato salad.
  • As part of a main course, e.g. with risotto and a fennel component.
