Ingredients

lemon juice and zest

Preparation method

  • Prepare the mayonnaise with the egg yolks, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, oil and salt and pepper and, lastly, add the Tabasco to taste.
  • Clean the smoked mackerels and finely shred (pull) the meat.
  • Mix with a suitable amount of mayonnaise and season to taste with Tabasco, lemon juice and lemon zest.

Serving suggestions

  • As a filling for maki sushi.
  • As a bread topping.
  • As a basic ingredient for a sandwich.
  • As a component in a fish dish, e.g. a vitello tonato variation.
