Preparation method

  • Cut the rib eye into thin slices.
  • Marinate the rib eye in the sesame oil, soya sauce, mirin, brown sugar, and ginger for 24 hours.
  • Chop the spring onion and shiitake mushrooms into the desired shape.
  • Create a single portion in a Carta Fata and sprinkle over some sesame seeds.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for approximately twelve minutes.

Serving suggestions

  • As part of a starter.
  • As an amuse bouche in a smaller portion.
  • As part of a traditional Indonesian rijsttafel (rice table) served with various dishes.
