Preparation method

  • Place the onions, with skins on, on aluminium foil and sprinkle with salt and olive oil.
  • Wrap in the foil and roast in an oven at 175°C for approx. 45 minutes until done, but still firm.

Serving suggestions

  • As a basic ingredient for an onion or shallot tarte tatin.
  • As a vegetable garnish, e.g. with beef components.
