Ingredients

peanut oil

ground ginger

ground black pepper

Preparation method

  • Peel the plantains and slice them thinly on a slicer or with a Japanese mandolin.
  • In a deep fryer, heat the peanut oil to 190°C and fry the banana slices in small batches.
  • Combine the ginger powder, pepper and salt in a plastic bag and add the banana chips.
  • Shake gently to distribute the spices evenly over the bananas.

Serving suggestions

  • As a garnish, particularly for Asian dishes.
  • As a cocktail snack or as an element of a cocktail tray.
