Strawberry rumtopf
An old method of preservation dating from the time when perishable products were preserved at the end of the season to keep them available year-round. This method leaves little of the strawberries but a delicious, sweet liqueur with the flavour of summertime. Contrary to what we are used to, the strawberries must be rinsed before preparing in order for them to keep in the preserve.
Makes 2300ml.
