Nutritional yeast flakes have a cheesy aroma and are an ideal substitute for Parmesan cheese in a pesto.

Recipe makes 300 grams.

Preparation method

  • Finely chop the garlic.
  • Put the chopped garlic and the other ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend to a smooth consistency.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Serving suggestions

  • Use the pesto to dress linguine, penne, or spaghetti.
  • Serve the pesto with a selection of bites served with drinks, or with bread.
  • As an ingredient for a pesto mayonnaise.
