A fragrant butter bursting with flavour. This butter goes incredibly well with spicy dishes.

This butter is inspired by the Dutch East India Company voyages. The ships brought these spices back to The Netherlands from their voyages.

Preparation method

  • Allow the butter to come up to room temperature.
  • Beat the butter in a planetary mixer until white.
  • Mix in the spices and season to taste with a little salt.
  • Roll the butter in plastic film or spoon into a mould or piping bag and store in the refrigerator. 

Serving suggestions

  • Process the butter in a dough such as a sweet shortcrust pastry.
  • For braising poultry.
