Coffee plays such a significant part in our daily lives now that it’s hard to imagine it ever having been otherwise. It was only in the 17th century that coffee made its way to Europe, via Turkey, from Arabia. Coffee also has an important role in cooking, not only in desserts but even nowadays in savoury dishes.
