Grapes form the basis for many different products such as wine, grape juice and syrup, grape seed oil and vinegar. In the USA in particular, they are also dried to produce raisins. Grape varieties are usually subdivided into wine and table grapes. There are so many different types and hybrids: sweet, sour, dark purple, light yellow, seedless, thin-skinned, etc. Most grapes come from areas with a warm climate, such as South Africa and Greece, although a number of vineyards can also be found in the Netherlands.
