What is Gastronomixs?
Gastronomixs is an online idea generator that enables chefs to quickly create new dishes or adjust existing recipes by presenting a wealth of recipes in the form of building blocks. This website presents all the classical preparation methods and the newest techniques, conveniently arranged by ingredient or product group. Gastronomixs was designed to simplify your culinary creative process!
Who’s behind Gastronomixs?
Gastronomixs is an initiative launched by Dutch entrepreneurs Jeroen van Oijen and Inge Meijs. Together with a team of highly enthusiastic staff members and chefs of all levels they ensure that content is continually created, checked and photographed. They comb all corners of the globe in search of preparation methods so that you will have them at your fingertips, saving you time as well as money. What is a component?
A component is a basic preparation method revolving around one single ingredient. A component is not a dish in itself, but part of a dish (composition). Components are culinary building blocks that you can use to make endless variations and combinations. Examples of components are: pommes duchesse, roast fillet of salmon belly or cherry tomato marmalade.
What is a components chart?
A components chart is a visual collection of all the available components and, therefore, possible preparation options with a single ingredient.
What are compositions?
Compositions are dishes built up out of various components.
What is MyGSX?
MyGSX is your domain at Gastronomixs. Here you can collect your favourite components and combine them into new dishes. Print your very own compositions at the touch of a button!
Why can’t I view everything on the website?
You’re always looking for the best ingredients and materials: that goes without saying! If you’re in search of inspiration you set the same high standards! As we invest a great deal of time and money to offer you the highest quality information possible, we work with paid memberships. This means that you will need an account to access all the information on Gastronomixs. We offer two account types: Trial and Pro. Click here for more information about our various memberships. How do I apply for a membership?
Applying for a membership is easy! All you need to do is click the ‘Become a member’ button. You will find this button on various pages of our website. You can pay for your membership through a secure online payment method, after which you will be able to access Gastronomixs directly. Members with a Pro account pay a monthly fee of only €6.
What is the difference between a Trial and a Pro account?
Sometimes you want to try something out before committing yourself to a full membership. We understand this and have therefore introduced the Trial account. This account gives you full access for two weeks, after which you will automatically have the option of upgrading your account to a paid Pro account. Pro membership costs €6 a month and grants full access to the entire website. Your membership will be extended automatically by one month every month and you can cancel at any time. What does a Gastronomixs membership cost?
A Pro account at Gastronomixs costs €6, including VAT. Sometimes you want to try something out before committing yourself to a full membership. We understand this and have therefore introduced the Trial account. This account gives you full access for two weeks, after which you will automatically have the option of upgrading your account to a paid Pro account.
Can I share my user name and password with friends and/or colleagues?
Your user name and password are private and are not meant to be shared with others. After all, by sharing this data you will grant someone else access to your personal details, as well as your favourite components and the compositions you have created. Prevent improper use of your details and do not share your login data!
How are my personal details protected?
Gastronomixs will never sell your personal details to third parties. Any third parties hired by us are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your data. Click here for a copy of our General Terms and Conditions.

What is the ‘no good, money back’ guarantee on memberships?
We do not give restitution on concluded memberships. You can cancel your membership at any time. After your membership term (a maximum of one month) has expired your membership will automatically revert to a Trial membership.
Are the recipes and photographs protected by copyright?
Yes. The photographs may only be used pending prior written permission by Culiversum B.V., with reference to Gastronomixs as their source. Recipes are available only for the use of our members. For more information please consult our General Terms and Conditions.
Can I publish Gastronomixs recipes on my own website or blog?
We’re happy you’re so enthusiastic! However, you can only publish our recipes after having obtained prior written permission from the Gastronomixs editorial team and with reference to Gastronomixs as their source. If you would like to publish our recipes, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I use photographs published on Gastronomixs?
The photographs and recipes we publish are made with the greatest care and attention. This is why all the photographs on Gastronomixs are copyright protected. You are not permitted to reproduce any of these photographs without the prior written consent of the Gastronomixs editorial team. If you would like to use any of our photographs, please get in touch with us first by sending an email to email@example.com.
I would like to advertise on Gastronomixs.com. Is that possible?
We can easily imagine that you would like to advertise on the fastest growing online platform for professional chefs, but not through ‘traditional’ advertisement or banners. That isn’t our style either. At Gastronomixs we work with Product Placement in components and compositions. You can also have a component diagram made of your product(s). For more information don’t hesitate to contact us by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be happy to discuss rates and possibilities.
There is a component I would like to see posted on Gastronomixs. Can I submit this?
We’re delighted that you want to share your knowledge with us! We’re also happy that you’re not the only one. This is why we regularly organise Live Sessions where a club of highly enthusiastic chefs can meet. Members with a Pro account have access to Live Sessions and it is possible that their components are posted on Gastronomixs. At present, Live Sessions are restricted to the Netherlands. Apart from our Live Sessions you can always send your ideas to email@example.com. Please note that submitting an idea is not a guarantee for its placement on the website.

Will this platform result in everyone making the same dishes?
Since you can make virtually limitless combinations with the many components featured on the site it is highly unlikely that the same dishes will be created by different chefs. Every chef has his or her own style and will make his or her own unique choices. Gastronomixs encourages this idea. We aim to give you plenty of opportunities for variation!
Can Gastronomixs present lectures and/or masterclasses on request?
