Kærnemælkskoldskål is an iconic sweet dish in Denmark. It is an ice-cold soup made with buttermilk and eggs. It can be flavoured with lime zest, vanilla, or other sweet spices. In Denmark, it is often served with buttermilk croutons and topped off with whipped cream to make it even fuller. This version is served on red fruit.
