Vegetable syrups are easy to make and give immense flavour. Red beetroot contains a lot of sugar and will pair well with strong flavours like cheese and game. You can of course vary with the vegetable juice, make this recipe with carrot or pepper juice too. The olive oil adds the 'green' flavour to the syrups.
